objet  / awb-zhe/ : an object of artistic worth or curiosity, especially a small object

In objet, seemingly insignificant objects are magnified both physically and thematically to monumental proportions. At first glance the large-scale photographs appear to capture life size scenes. Upon closer examination, there is a playful reality of miniature objects which meditate upon the artist's life of joyful peaks, murky underbellies and cyclical battles. Photographs are printed with objects at full-scale size; a pencil the size of a pencil. Ongoing project, begun in 2016.
